Following last month's List Pick: 'Goodnight', London's Dry Cleaning have announced their second EP with another compelling cut. Encapsulated in the line: "You're nothing but a fragrance to me now", 'Sit Down Meal' deals with the sucker-punch of a sudden dumping. Focussing on the tiny details about a person that become oddly upsetting post break-up, vocalist Florence Shaw's erratic yet totally relatable lyrics flow easily like an external stream of consciousness, whilst driving beats push forward a softly sustained synth note. Jagged guitars interrupt the calm just after the 30 second mark, shaking their listeners to attention with a wiry onslaught of post-punk-inspired noodling. Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks will be released on the 25th of October. -Holly Mullineaux
